How the score works
The score is the share of the posting's requirements your resume actually evidences — not a vibe, not a keyword-density percentage. Paste both and the check reads them the way a recruiter's first skim would: what does this posting ask for, and does the resume in front of me show it.
An "evidence gap" is a requirement the posting names that your resume never backs up — no tool, method or outcome that answers it. It's not that the requirement is missing entirely; it's that nothing in your resume currently proves you can do it.
None of this guarantees an interview, and we're not going to pretend it does. What it gives you is the same first pass a recruiter or an ATS gives your resume, before you find out from silence what it missed.

- An ATS (applicant tracking system) is the software most companies use to store and filter applications. This check doesn't replicate one specific vendor's parser — it reads your resume and the posting the way a careful recruiter would, and reports which requirements your resume actually backs up.
- Does a high score guarantee an interview?
- No — and we wouldn't trust a tool that claimed it did. The score tells you how much of the posting your resume evidences and where the gaps are. Getting an interview also depends on the role, the company, and things no resume checker can see.
- What counts as "evidence" on a resume?
- A requirement is evidenced when your resume names the specific tool, method or outcome the posting is asking for — not just a related word. "Used Python" doesn't evidence "FastAPI experience"; naming FastAPI does. Each role page below breaks this down for that field specifically.
